Turck duotec in Mexico successfully passes IATF 16949 audit
Since March of last year, the Corona pandemic has been keeping us on our toes and redefining our everyday lives. What previously seemed normal or commonplace now turns out to be a challenge on some occasions.
In addition to the pandemic, during the second week of February this year, extreme and historic winter weather conditions permanently disrupted power in the southern United States and nearly all of Mexico. Some cities in the aforementioned regions had to deal with a power outage for a day, others for more than a week.
Turck duotec in Mexico also faced this difficult situation because the IATF 16949 audit was scheduled for the week of the power outage of all weeks. Due to the pandemic situation, the whole thing was not on site, but designed as a video conference from the beginning.
In order to conduct the audit without available power, the Turck duotec Mexico team members involved had to think outside the box and look for alternative options. This led to creative problem solving such as charging laptops in an off-road vehicle or finding cafes that had no problems with power supply.
The effort paid off: despite the unusual situation, the team from Mexico not only managed to carry out the audit successfully, but also completed the whole thing with an excellent IATF 16949 audit result.
