30 years Turck duotec
"The Sauerland needs visionaries": Turck duotec celebrates 30th anniversary in Halver
For 30 years now, Turck duotec GmbH has been a reliable partner to its customers as an expert for specific electronics development and production. An anniversary that was celebrated with an informative celebration on September 6th.
For a good 100 guests, the anniversary celebration on Thursday was an unforgettable event: When the last shuttle buses brought the guests from outside to the hotel shortly after 11 p.m., an exciting and informative day lay behind them.
After the warm welcome in the auditorium of the Eugen-Schmalenbach-Berufskolleg, Managing Director Arthur Rönisch thanked the company's clients and partners who made its success possible in the first place.
Social responsibility and sustainability in action
District Administrator Thomas Gemke addressed some words to the guests and above all to the employees of the company under the motto "The Sauerland needs visionaries". In addition to the management and executives of Turck duotec, members of the advisory board and shareholders of the Turck Group, purchasing and management of the customers, guests of honour from politics as well as employees from the production area took part in the festivities.
In his speech, Michael Brosch, Mayor of Halver, also made it clear how important innovative companies such as Turck duotec are for the city of Halver and the Region.
Dieter Härthe, CEO of the Senate of the Economy, emphasized that economic growth is always associated with the question of social responsibility and sustainability. Here he could name Turck duotec as an outstanding example. The extent to which Managing Director Rönisch feels committed to his business location became clear when Härthe officially presented him with the Senator's Certificate at the Senate of the Economy. Rönisch has held this post since the end of 2017.
A success story from the Sauerland Region
In a panel discussion, Eberhard Grünert, the long-standing managing director of Turck duotec, gave interesting insights into the company's history to date. For a total of 28 years, Grünert was active in responsible areas of the company and played a decisive role in its successful development. He was assisted by the current managing director, Arthur Rönisch, who has also been with the company for 28 years, so that both were able to draw a coherent picture of the last 30 years.
Thus the public learned that Turck duotec was founded in 1988 as an independent company of the Turck Group and quickly developed into a valued partner of the electronics industry. Today, the company focuses on the areas of medical technology, building technology and mobility. Turck duotec focuses on customer-oriented consulting, application-oriented concepts and first-class workmanship. A strategy that works: Continuous increases in turnover prove it.
Keynotes on Artificial Intelligence and Digitization
The panel discussion was followed by a keynote speech in which Matthäus Hose, publishing director of WEKA FACHMEDIEN, spoke on the subject of artificial intelligence. He pointed out where artificial intelligence already meets us today, what the future will bring and where possible dangers of technology lurk.
After a little refreshment and live music, the keynote speech on the subject of digitisation by Prof. Dr. Tobias Kollmann, lecturer for business administration and business informatics - especially e-business and e-entrepreneurship - at the University of Duisburg-Essen followed. "We need strong start-ups and a transformed industry and digitized medium-sized businesses for a strong Germany in the digital age," he made clear right at the beginning and then presented his formula for success for digital Transformation.
This marked the end of the informative part of the event. The guests could enjoy the main course and the dessert with live music and let the evening slowly end. The festivities will continue on 19 September in Grünhain-Beierfeld.
